Eberly Fellow Dr. Ari Silburt

Dr. Sarah Morrison joins the department as a CEHW postdoctoral fellow working with Rebekah Dawson. Her research focuses on planetary orbital dynamics, including planetary migration, debris disks, and stability of planetary systems. Sarah also brings extensive experience in astronomy public outreach. She received her PhD from University of Arizona in 2017.

 

Dr. Ari Silburt joins the department and CEHW as our first Eberly Research Fellow. Ari is interested in exploring a wide range of potential astronomical applications of machine learning, from improving cratering records to improving the sensitivity of exoplanet surveys. Ari graduated from the University of Toronto in summer 2017 after completing a PhD on the “Investigating the Origin of Kepler Planets Wide of Mean Motion Resonance” under the direction of Prof. Hanno Rein.
