Breakthrough Listen

Breakthrough Listen is a $100 million, 10-year initiative centered at UC Berkeley to find technosignatures, i.e. signs of technological life elsewhere in the universe. Jason Wright maintains a close collaboration with the initiative, sitting on its advisory committee, recommending targets for search, and training students in their hardware and software methods. In the 2016/7 academic year, Wright joined the team during his sabbatical and worked on many SETI projects including the puzzle of Boyajian’s Star.  Wright also directs the Penn State Extraterrestrial Intelligence (PSETI) Center.
