MINERVA

Penn State is a partner in the MINERVA observatory, which is currently under construction on Palomar Mountain. It will consist of an array of four small-aperture robotic telescopes for both photometry and high-resolution spectroscopy. MINERVA will be the first U.S. observatory dedicated to exoplanetary science capable of both precise radial velocimetry and transit studies. Faculty member Jason Wright is leading Penn State’s involvement in the facility.
